What is eyebrow transplantation?
Eyebrows are short hairs that form an arc-shaped line above our eyes. They contribute significantly to expressing feelings and thoughts, facial expressions, integrity and beauty of the face. For these reasons, deterioration of the integrity of the eyebrow can also affect the general appearance of the face.
Hair loss may occur as a result of accidents, trauma, burns, stress and some diseases. In addition, the frequent removal of eyebrows or the application of chemicals for the purpose of shaping and coloring the eyebrows can lead to permanent losses in the eyebrows. The eyebrows lost due to such reasons cannot be regained even if it is desired to be thickened later.
The new shape to be given to the eyebrow in eyebrow transplantation is calculated anatomically and its planning is made in line with the patient’s wishes. The points to be considered while designing the eyebrows are that the eyebrow should start from the inner level of the eyelid and continue to extend beyond the outer edge of the eyelid a few millimeters. The patient’s wishes are taken into account, provided that these anatomical limits are maintained. After the design is made, the planting process is started.
